On September 28th,
2016, opening ceremony of the 69th
AUN-QA assessment for VNU-LS’s Bachelor Program was organized at VNU-LS. Attended the ceremony were
the external assessment experts of AUN, namely Prof. Dr. Satria Bijaksanna, Prof. Dr. Kageeporn
Wongpreedee. On the VNU-LS side, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh Quoc Toan, Acting Dean,
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Que Anh, Vice Dean, Dr. Trinh Tien Viet, Vice Dean
and representatives from VNU-LS’s departments, administrative offices and
centers.
Speaking at the opening
session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh Quoc Toan said that VNU-LS has 40 years of
tradition (1976-2016) and the Program of Bachelor in Law is one of VNU-LS’s
traditional bachelor program. This training program is regularly built to meet
the social needs. In 2012, the program was drafted according to the CDIO output
standards. By 2015, this program was continually revised to comply with AUN
standards. It can be said that this bachelor program is one of the oldest
training program in legal field in Vietnam with more than thousands of students
up to now, who are working in all regions of Vietnam and abroad.
At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Cong Giao also introduced about VNU-LS as well as this training program. This program is the first Program of Bachelor in Law in Vietnam and in region was evaluated according to AUN-QA’s 15 standards and 67 criteria. It is also affirmation of quality, position and prestige of the leading legal training institution in Vietnam. After the opening ceremony, AUN-QA assessors conducted accreditation for the Program of Bachelor in Law during the time from September 28th to September 30th, 2016.
Within the framework of the working program at VNU-LS, external assessment experts conducted activities related to evaluation of the bachelor program such as: Studying evidences and interviewing the Dean and Vice Deans, leaders of relevant offices, lectures, students, staffs, alumni and employers. In addition, the delegation also visited VNU-LS’s facilities such as classrooms, computer rooms, libraries, dormitories, lecture halls, sport and entertainment centers, cafeterias ... to have a more comprehensive view of this training program. |
